2022 Reading List

Posted by Malachy - January 4th, 2022

I read 60 books in 2022. The most I've probably ever read in a year. I caught up on a couple of sci fi series I started in earlier years and joined the Patreon for Glynn Stewart and read a few of his series this year. Now that the wife and I are commuting together we started listening to audio books on our drives. We started with the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, then listened to the Children of Time books and started listening to the new audio version of Discworld. Until 2021 I mostly read one book at a time and listened to the audio version during my drives to work. Since we started listening to audiobooks together I've been keeping 2 books going at a time.

Since I re-read some old favorites I don't think I can do a top list for 2022. But some pleasant surprises have been the other books by Glynn Stewart that I read after joining his Patreon and starting the Bobiverse books by Dennis Taylor.

Have fun!

Went through the entire Dark Tower twice already. Mag-fucking-nificent.

I've been listening to the audio books on my drives to work.

@Malachy Who's reading them? The man himself?

The audible versions I've been listening to have been by Frank Muller (i think the first 2?) And George Guidall (since book 3 or 4)

I'll need to look those up

READ MORE VONNEGUT PLEB

I read Slaughterhouse Five in highschool. Any suggestions?

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS IS MY FAVORITE. CATS CRADLE IS ALSO VERY GOOD

So amazeballs you're still on NG and dining well on the printed/posted word!!1

I've been slumming, but did appreciate Songs of Suzanna, sure felt better than your usual fan-fic feast, a decent shoe-horn into his own epic of epics King-o, old habits... hope you're well old fuck, thanks for checking in

...need to re-read slaughter house 5 - same, since HS

How many more do you have to go?

My goal was 40 for this year. I just go by stuff I find that looks good, new books from authors I follow and suggestions from friends. I'm still in the middle of the 3 down for October. Not sure what I'll read next

That's awesome
